federation council - Urana aquatic centre lake pipeline

The project involved the construction of 2.3 km of 200mm PN160PVC pipe to the Urana Aquatic Centre Lake. The purpose of the project is to maintain the water level in the lake at a usable level to support Urana tourism. Works involved underboring three roads, bedding the pipe in sand, locating existing services, installing the pipe through the creek, installing an isolation point at the dam bank, as well as the installation of a 200mm Bermad Magflow meter, and testing and commissioning the system.

  • Removing the existing bore and replacing it with a new pump
  • Installing two 230,000 Litre rainwater tanks
  • A new pumping station consisting of four vertical multistage pumps in a new shed on a concrete slab
  • Upgrading the headworks on an existing bore
  • Replacement and upgrading of all the electrical work for the new water supply system
  • A new cloud-based monitoring system
  • A water purification plant
  • A new polyethylene piping system around the farm.
